Rookie wide receiver Puka Nacua left and returned to the field during a game for the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday after being evaluated for a ribs injury.
The Rams faced the Cleveland Browns late Sunday afternoon. Nacua was injured in the second quarter after completing a catch and landing hard on the ground. He stayed down for several moments but was able to walk off the field on his own, Yahoo Sports reports.
The injury came shorty after Nacua made history, becoming the first rookie in Rams history to pass the 1,000-yard mark. According to Turf Show Times, he now has 77 catches for 1,029 yards.
Nacua sustained a rib injury but was able to return to the field in the second half. After the game he told Fox Sports, he was grateful for the career he’s had so far.
