Remains discovered in trash bin in LA IDed as suspect’s wife

Body parts found in a trash bin in the Los Angeles area of Encino have been identifed as Mei Li Haskell, the wife of triple murder suspect Samuel Bond Haskell.

Surveillance video shows a man get out of a Tesla in November and dumping a white trash bag into a garbage bin.

Police arrested Haskell hours after the body parts were discovered. He also faces charges in the deaths of Mei Li’s mother and step father- YanXiang Wang (mom)and Gaoshan Li (step father), according to NBC Los Angeles.

Both are presumed dead, although their bodies have not been recovered.

All three victims have been missing since early November. The suspect is listed as a producer in several low budget films and is the son of prominent Hollywood agent Sam Haskell, the LA Daily News reported.

Police say they found blood evidence in Haskell’s Tarzana home after the gruesome discovery.

Mei Li Haskell and her husband had three children together who are now being cared for by family members, Deadline reported. Prosecutors believe Haskell tried to pay day laborers to take the body parts from the home, but when those efforts failed, he took them to a garbage bin behind a shopping mall.

“When we picked up the bags, we could tell they weren’t rocks,” one of the workers said in Spanish. He said the bag felt as though it was full of meat.
