Comedian Neel Nanda, known for his appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, has died at 32.
Nanda’s manager, Greg Weiss, confirmed his death to the Los Angeles Times and Variety.
“At this point all I can do is confirm, yes, unfortunately my client of over 11 years has passed,” Weiss told the Los Angeles Times.
The Times says that, at the request of Nanda’s parents and girlfriend, no other details are being released.
“I [am] deeply shocked and saddened by this. He was a wonderful comic, but a better person,” Weiss added. “He had the world in front of him.”
According to Deadline, Nanda was born in Atlanta to Indian immigrant parents. In a 2018 interview with VC Reporter, he said as a kid he used to write down jokes after watching Comedy Central and retell them at school.
“I didn’t realize I was stealing jokes until I was in high school,” said Nanda.
Nanda first appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2017. He called it one of the “proudest accomplishments” of his life. The comedian also appeared on Comedy Central’s Adam Devine’s House Party, Hulu’s Coming to the Stage and Viceland’s Flophouse.
