’The Other Ones’ explore advice columns

by Martin and Rich Lee

Dear Abby, Miss Manners, Ann Landers, and nowadays The Ethicist and Social Q’s columns in the New York Times are all advice columns. Perhaps one of the most popular “advice” columns today is Reddit’s AITA in which people ask the public if they are the *sshole in a social situation. Diggy rides this popularity with his own version for his generation. While it won’t take the place of his free advice booth, Am I Whiny offers another way for Diggy to dispense wisdom for the youth of today.

Martin and Rich Lee are second-generation Korean American brothers. Martin is a retired elementary school teacher and the illustrator of the strip. Rich is a professor of psychology in Asian American studies at the University of Minnesota and writes the content.
