The Kamala Harris and Tim Walz campaign has launched two new advertisements, meant to target Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander voters in a $90 million media buy.
Per a press release from the campaign, the digital spots and television ads are called “The Seal” and “Reduced.” They will air in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
“Reduced” describes Donald Trump as an “active threat” to the health of the AANHPI community. In particular, it focuses on Trump’s calls to eliminate healthcare protections that exist under the Affordable Care Act.
“The Seal” compares Vice President Harris’ commitment to the AANHPI community with former President Trump’s “incitement of anti-Asian hate during the COVID-19 pandemic/”
“These new ads remind Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander voters that the choice in this election is clear for our communities,” said Harris-Walz AANHPI Spokesperson Andrew Peng.
