Olivia Rodrigo celebrated her first trip to the Philippines and her biggest venue ever.
On Saturday night, Rodrigo performed in front of a sold-out crowd at the Philippine Arena in Santa Maria, Bulacan. Rodrigo charged 1,500 Philippine pesos ($27) for all tickets at her concert, hoping to make it more accessible. According to Rodrigo, the arena was her biggest venue ever, with a capacity of 55,000.
During the concert, she wore a “Miss So Filipina” sash and later a “Pinoy pride” t-shirt. The pop star posted about the concert on Instagram, thanking the fans and people she visited in Manila.
“been dreaming of this show for a whileeeee. my first time in the Philippines and also my biggest venue ever!!!!! thank you to everyone Manila for welcoming me so generously and making me feel so loved…” she wrote.
Rodrigo and her team also announced that all net ticket sales from the concert would go to Jhpiego, a non-profit organization providing healthcare to women and girls in the Philippines.
“I got to visit the organization while I was in Manila and was so impressed by the work they are doing providing healthcare to women and girls in the Philippines. It was the most special show and the most meaningful trip. to say I’m grateful doesn’t even cut it! Mahal kita,” she wrote.
