Nashville teen arrested, twin suspect still at large

Nashville authorities have arrested a 17-year-old in connection with the fatal shooting of restaurant owner Hwarang Joo.

According to WSMV, Joo, 39, was struck by a stray bullet in the parking lot of the Mill Creek Village shopping center on Bell Road. Police say the 17-year-old has an identical twin brother who is also connected to the shooting and remains at large.

The investigation revealed that the twins allegedly fired an AR-style rifle at occupants of another vehicle, inadvertently hitting Joo as he left his business, Hot Stuff Chicken. Police state that the brothers fled the scene in a silver Ford Taurus, which was noted for its rust spot and front-end damage, according to the Daily Mail reports.

Both brothers face charges of criminal homicide and three counts of attempted criminal homicide.

Joo’s death has left the local community in shock, with many remembering him as a hardworking and respected restaurant owner. Community members continue to express their grief and call for justice for his family.
