Three members of a Filipino family fatally stabbed in LA

Three members of a Filipino family were found stabbed to death in a Los Angeles home on Thursday, December 26. According to KTLA 5, a relative of the family has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbings.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said police officers in Baldwin Park responded to a disturbance right before 7 p.m., ABC 7 reports.

When Baldwin Park police arrived at a home in the 4700 block of Bogard Avenue they found a person in a parked vehicle in the driveway. According to KTLA 5, the driver accelerated out of the driveway, eventually crashing into a nearby culdesac.

Police then found three people dead inside of the home. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified the victims to ABC 7 as Mia Chantelle Narvaez, 8; Paul Sebastian Manangan, 16; and Rona Nate, 44.

The driver, a 23-year-old relative of the family, was arrested on suspicion of murder. Investigators have not disclosed the suspect’s relationship with the family.
