A second person is scheduled to appear in court today for the September 9th murder of 57-year-old Ying Zhu Liu in New York.
Authorities accused Joshua Bell of fleeing the state after the killing. Authorities arrested him on March 21 in his home state of South Carolina.
As AsAmNews reported in September, Liu heard a commotion outside her eight floor New York apartment and ran outside to see two teenagers robbing her husband.
Authorities believed they followed him inside the building and into the elevator, before robbing him in the hallway after he exited.
Liu attempted to intervene. That’s when police say the suspects fatally shot Liu in the face.
Police arrested a 16-year-old shortly after. He remains unidentified because of his age.
