Police say they’ve identified several suspects but have made no arrests in the probable fatal beating of a 92-year-old man found in a Chinatown alley in Vancouver, British Columbia, reports Global News.
The victim died weeks after being found injured behind the Carnegie Community Centre, not far from the city’s Chinatown.
“Police were called after he passed away as medical staff determined that his injuries should be investigated,” said Const. Tania Visintin of the Vancouver Police Department to CBC Lite. “Right now, our homicide detectives are focused on if the man’s injuries from the assault caused him to die.”
Authorities acknowledged to the Canadian Press that the incident has led to the sense of fear in the community and that they are trying to solve the case quickly to ease those feelings.
