Ali Wong is stepping behind the camera to direct comedian Sheng Wang’s stand-up special, Variety reports.
The special will be filmed on November 8 at the Warner Theater in Washington D.C. It will be released on Netflix in 2026.
Wang was born in Taipei and grew up in Houston. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of California, Berkeley. He started doing stand-up after graduating. He was also a writer for “Fresh Off the Boat.”
This isn’t Wang’s first special with Neflix. According to The San Francisco Chronicle, the streaming service released Wang’s special “Sweet and Juicy,” which was also directed by Wong.
