An employee at Twitter who is six months pregnant says she will sue after being laid off last week, reports Business Insider.
Shennon Lu was one of about 3700 employees who received pink slips as part of Elon Musk’s cost-cutting moves after his recent takeover.
“There is definitely discrimination here. So I will fight. My performance has been tracking ahead (top 30%) for the last quarters, and I know for a fact that other male managers don’t have this rating got stayed,” Lu said on Twitter. “See you in the court.”
According to the Daily Mail, her tweets have since been deleted from her now private account. It’s not known if she plans to go ahead with her threatened lawsuit.
Lu began working at Twitter in January following stints at Meta and Comcast. Several dozen employees who received layoff notices last week have since been asked to return.
