I knew the boba tea drink craze was big, especially in the 626, but didn’t know it was this big.
The Daily News report that boba tea enthusiasts hope to make it into the Guinness Book of World Records with a 6-foot-tall glass of boba tea holding about 125 4-inch tapioca balls in some 320 gallons of black tea and milk.
The attempt at a record is taking place tonight at the 626 Night Market in San Gabriel Valley.
Corporate sponsors kicked in for the $5500 effort after a Kickstarter campaign fell short of its goal.
You can read more about the effort in the Daily News.
