South Carolina Governor Nikki Heley will announce she plans to run for re-election on August 26, reports the Greenville On Line.
The announcement will not be a huge surprise, but up until now, she has been coy about her future re-election plans.
Her campaign says three high profile Republican governors will join Haley for the announcement. They are Presidential hopefuls Bobby Jindal of Louisiana and Rick Perry of Texas along with Scott Walker of Wisconsin.
Haley is expected to face off with Democratic challenger state Sen. Vincent Sheheen in a rematch of the 2010 race.
