H-Mart, the popular Korean grocery store, is on its way to Las Vegas, KTNV reports.
Banners advertising the arrival of the largest Korean grocery chain in the United States have been set up on the southeastern corner of Sahara Ave. and Decatur Blvd. A spokesperson confirmed to Eater that there would be a location at 2620 S Decatur Boulevard but did not specify an opening date.
“We’re really excited for our business in the same area,” Dante Yeum, the general manager of a new Korean restaurant that will also be opening in the same plaza, told KTNV. “We hope a lot of people who go to H-Mart, they can enjoy Korean Daeho.”
The store currently has 70 locations across the country. Now, Las Vegas residents will be able to enjoy its products. Korean American residents are excited that they will have more options in the area.
“It should be a lot more variety,” Las Vegas resident Young Kim told KTNV. “I think H-Mart will be a lot more higher quality.”
