Tua Tagovailoa’s playoff run has come to an end. The quarterback and the Miami Dolphins suffered a tough loss to the Kansas City Chiefs during the Wild Card Round on Sunday.
The Chiefs, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes beat the Dolphins 26-7, ending Miami’s dreams of making it back to the Superbowl.
Tagovailoa went 20 for 39 in completed passes, throwing 199 yards with one touch down and one interception.
According to Joe Schad, a Miami Dolphins reporter for the Palm Beach Post, Tagovailoa admitted after the game that the cold weather in Kansas City made things difficult. He also reflected on the team’s overall performance.
“It’s a team sport. We didn’t come together the way we wanted to tonight. We had delay of games. We had communication errors,” he said per Schad.
