Boston Herald: Attorney for Man Critically Injured in Biker Beating Says Criminal Record Irrelevant

CATEGORIES

motorcycle chaseThe lawyer for Edwin Mieses Jr who was left critically injured when Alexian Lien suddenly drove away to escape a band of motorcyclists, says Mieses’ criminal record is totally irrelevant to the case, reports the Boston Herald.

In the mind of his attorney Gloria Allred, Mieses is an innocent victim.

“He was standing with his back to the SUV when he was hit by the SUV,” said Allred.

“His history in the criminal justice system is also not relevant. He was clearly an innocent victim in this case, since he was simply standing there urging people to move on when he was hit.”
You can check out Allred’s entire interview and an interview with Mieses’ wife on WPIX below.

Mieses’ record includes convictions for possessions of illegal firearms, distributions of cocaine and resisting arrest.
