Benny Blanco loves to post his thoughts about food on TikTok, but his recent post about his first time visiting Filipino fast food chain Jollibee struck a wrong chord with many.
He called the outlets popular joy chicken “soggy as f*ck” although he seemed to like the gravy and said the spaghetti “ruined my night” moments after spitting it out of his mouth.
“Benny your literal review about Jollibee is my literal review of you,” said one of his 5 million followers.
“7, 641 islands in the Phils, ready to fight for Jollibee,” said another.
Blanco said his stepmom is Filipino and said he’s eaten a “sh*tload of Filipino food.”
However some questioned his tastebuds and even the taste of his girlfriend, Selena Gomez.
“Selena, you better choose Jollibee than him,” a fan joked…or at least we think she was joking.
Blanco apparently heard the uproar. Either that or Selena got to him. The next day he revised his review. “I completely reverse my opinion about how it sucked,” he said shortly after taking a bite out of a chicken sandwich.
Some forgave his original review, but others doubted his sincerity.
“The funny part is WE FILIPINOS DO NOT FORGET,” said one whose sentiment seemed to mirror that of many others.

Jollibee’s menu also caters to those who crave a heartier meal with their rice meals being a standout. The Burger Steak, which features juicy beef patties smothered in a savory mushroom gravy, paired with a serving of rice, is a go-to for those wanting a quick but filling dish. https://www.jollibeemenuph.com/
