Firefighter’s racist rant goes viral on TikTok

A collision on the freeway near Stockton, CA spiraled out of control when an Alameda County firefighter went on a racist rant that the victim caught on video and shared on TikTok.

The firefighter who has not publicly been identified approached the driver side window of another driver and called him a “dumb ass Mexican…f*cking Filipino.”

The firefighter expressed anger at the other driver, accusing him of driving 60 miles per hour in the fast lane and then speeding up when he tried to pass him.

“Dumb ass Mexican. I don’t know what you are. Filipino? I don’t know what you are. What are you?.”

As the conversation continued to deteriorate, the other driver accused the firefighter of being a racist.

“I’m not f*cking racist. I’m a firefighter,” he responded…You’re going to be late for your f*cking $10/hour job, b*tch.”

The Alameda County Fire Department confirmed the firefighter worked for the department.

“The firefighter was off duty at the time of the incident,” said Alameda County Fire Chief William McDonald to ABC7. “It’s come to our attention that some language was used during the interaction that does not align with the values and standards we uphold as an organization. Such behavior is not representative of who we are or the department or our values we strive to embody every day.”

The East Bay Times reported the cause of the accident is unclear.

CBS5 reports the firefighter was off duty at the time and has been placed on unpaid administrative leave.
