It’s presidential election season. With the debates, voter canvassing, and political rhetoric in the media, there is a lot of political animosity toward each party. Increasingly, it seems people have begun to latch onto an idea or belief rooted in fear without much critical thinking about the ways in which these beliefs or ideas actually impact their own lives and the lives of others. A thriving democracy allows for tremendous freedom of expression, but it’s important for us not to let our protests essentially be protests about nothing except fear of change.
