Blackpink’s Rosé and Bruno Mars released a new single “Apt.” this Friday, the first track of Rosé’s first full-length studio album, Rosie.
The collaboration marks the Korean artist’s first song since 2021. According to Vogue, the song title is a nod to the singer’s favorite Korean drinking game, Apartment.
“I remember going home [from the studio] kind of freaked out,” Rosé told Vogue. “Is this OK, that I’ve written a song about a drinking game?”
However, Rosé realized her team had become obsessed with the song, Vogue reported.
The pair teased the release days prior on social media, sharing the cover image with the artists in leather jackets and a stylized black and pink color scheme.
Rosé’s album, Rosie, is set to release on December 6th.
“I have poured my blood and tears into this album. I cannot wait for you to listen to this little journal of mine,” Rosé said in an Instagram post. “Rosie – is the name I allow my friends and family to call me. With this album, I hope you all feel that much closer to me.”
