Zach Edey was a bright spot for the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday, despite the team’s loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.
According to CBS Sports, Edey played 27 minutes and recorded 14 rebounds, three points, one assist, three blocks and one steal. The Grizzlies ultimately lost the game 114-110.
Derek Parker, a writer for Sports Illustrated, called Edey’s performance promising.
“While the Grizzlies ultimately couldn’t come away with the win — falling by four to the better-than-expected Clippers — Edey’s dominance on the glass and ability to thrive without scoring was promising,” Parker wrote in an article for Sports Illustrated.
Edey and the Grizzlies will face the Toronto Raptors this Thursday.
