SF Examiner: Three Streets in SF Chinatown to be Renamed After Community Leaders

Ross AlleyThree alleys in San Francisco’s Chinatown will be renamed in honor of community members who made contributions to the neighborhood.

Bartol Street will have Enid Ng Lim Alley added in honor of a community activist by the same name who fought to prevent a building in Chinatown from being converted into office spaces but, instead, into a senior care center.

“Someone was evicting all the tenants there. It was kind of like the Ellis Act today,” said Norman Fong, executive director of the Chinatown Community Development Center, in reference to the event.
