Lawyers for Raymond Shrimp Boy Chow held a fundraiser for the reputed mobster Friday night, reports CBS SF.
Judging from the pictures on television, not a lot of people from Chinatown came.
T-shirts were sold with the slogans “Free Shrimp Boy” emblazoned across the chest.
Chow’s flamboyant attorney Tony Serra says his client has no money and he is offering his services pro bono, thus the fundraiser.
“Doesn’t everyone understand people can change, people do change,” said Serra about his client’s criminal record.
Chow faces a variety of charges including money laundering in the Leland Yee corruption probe.
