Where does Travis Ishikawa’s game winning home run in game 5 of the 2014 National League Championship Series rank in baseball history?

The home run was so significant the bat has been snatched up by the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown where it will be on display with other mementos from baseball’s past, reports the Mercury News.
It’s just one of two collectibles claimed by the Hall of Fame from the World Series teams. The other is the cap worn by Royals reliever Brandon Finnegan. He’s the first player to pitch in both the College World Series and major league World Series in the same year.
Ishikawa had to think hard before donating his bat to Cooperstown. He only gave it to the hall after being told it would be placed next to two other famous bats–the bat used by fellow Giant Bobby Thompson in his pennant winning home run in 1951 and from Joe Carter’s World Series winner in 1993.
