Vietnamese American model Tila Tequila has been kicked off the British reality show Celebrity Big Brother for views she expressed more than a year ago about Hitler and Nazis, reports E Online.
Tequila wrote a blog post back in December 2013 entitled Why I Sympathize with Hitler Pt 1, True History Unveiled. .
Producers of Celebrity Big Brother apparently were not aware of that post, but when viewers protested her casting on day 2 of filming, they quickly fired her from the program.
“Unfortunately, Channel 5 and [production company] Endemol did not know about the views and attitudes Tila had expressed in social media postings prior to her involvement in Celebrity Big Brother,” the show said in a statement. “When they were brought to our attention, she was called to the Diary Room for a discussion with producers and was subsequently removed from the house,”
Tequila whose real name is Thien Thanh Thi Nguyen went on Twitter to apologize.
@TilaTequilaCBB people make mistakes! Hopefully they give you a second chance! We love you! #TeamTila #CBBTila pic.twitter.com/UixeihQWVF

The apology is hard to read, so I’ll excerpt some of it here. Tequila called her post a “terrible mistake” and blamed it on severe depression and drug addiction during a time when she said she attempted suicide.
“I am deeply sorry for my irresponsible, reckless and selfish actions and I hope that everyone can forgive me for the pain that I may have caused,” Tequila continued. ” I want to be a good role model for my daughter because I don’t want her to go through what I had to endure. I hope that I will be given a second chance at life to make things right again.”
