Long before Charice, Jessica Sanchez, Apl.de.Ap and Arnel Pineda of Journey there was the Rocky Fellers. The group made up of five Filipino brothers and their father rose to number 16 on the billboard charts in 1963 with their hit “Killer Joe.”
ABS CBN looked back at Rocky Feller’s remarkable accomplishments, breaking racial barriers as the first Filipino hit makers to make it big on the music scene.
The group even appeared on the Dinah Shore Show and today draw comparisons to the Jackson 5, although the Feller’s came first.
The brothers also worked with Neil Diamond who composed several songs for them.
You can listen to several of their songs and watch their historic appearance on the Dinah Shore Show in ABS CBN.
