Amidst growing tensions between North and South Korea, North Korea announced today it would restart a nuclear reactor it shut down five years ago, reports CNN.
The move comes just days after North Korean Dictator Kim Jong Un declared a state of war against the South.
Korean Americans reacted with various degrees of concern, according to KCRG.
“I just get sick and tired of listening to them and playing with the world,” said Korean American Jin Han..
International student Elly Roh says she calls home frequently to get updates. She thinks North Korea actions are all for show.
“Recognize me as a state, recognize our nuclear ability as legitimate,” said Roh.
