A Taco Bell employee is seen on video arguing with a Muslim customer, telling him “all Muslims are terrorists,” reports the Daily News.
Tarek Hamdan saying the incident happened after he put in his order at a drive through window in St. Louis. He mentioned that he had been fasting for Ramadan and that’s where the 25 minute discussion began.
“I’m going to tell you right now, until you call me and change my mind, Muslim mother—–s can suck my d—,” the worker said to Hamdan “Because they tore down my country, they killed thousands of my people, so you need to change my mind.”
Hamdan told the employee the terrorists were not representative of his religion and called them “monsters.”
Taco Bell has fired the employee, but according to KMOV, that has not satisfied Muslim American leaders. They are calling for cultural training of employees.
“Taco Bell does not appreciate the seriousness of this situation. They have not done enough. Just firing the lady is a cop-out, an easy way to sweep the issue under the rug,” said Faizan Syed of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. “I would want her to know we did not want her to get fired. We want her to get educated.”
