We’re getting our first extended look at Hustlers, a new movie due out in September starring Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu and Cardi B.
With its sexy premise and multi-ethnic cast, Hustlers promises to be a box office draw. Following weeks of teasing it, Hustlers finally lifted the veil over its first official trailer.
The movie revolves around a group of strippers who use their sex appeal to impose their economic power over some Wall Street execs and con them out of their money. It’s based on a true story featured in a recent article in New York Magazine by Jessica Pressler.
Based on the trailer, Wu is the only one of the strippers with any sense of compassion.
“I just want to take care of my grandma,” she says.
Then moments later, the real motivation comes out.
“Maybe go shopping every once in a while,” she says.
Hustlers opens on September 13.
