A security guard in San Jose, California is being credited with stopping the molestation of a child.
70-year old Tuan Binh Nguyen, who was hired several years ago to drive the girl home from school, has been arrested.
Christopher Gomez told police he was patrolling the back of a parking lot when he saw the suspect in the back of a car with a minor.
“I drew my weapon and I had the guy get out of the car. I had to act quick because I didn’t know if he had any weapons in the car or if she was in danger at that point,” Gomez said to Fox 2.
Gomez had questioned the girl before pulling out his weapon and asked her if she was OK.
“And she just gave me a blank steer and she just said no,” he said.
According to NBC Bay Area, police believe Nguyen dropped off other children and was alone with the victim when he parked behind a business. Gomez said he caught Nguyen in the act and the victim trying to fight off her attacker.
