Bryan Adams faces backlash after blaming “bat eating, wet market animal selling, virus making greedy bastards” for cancelled concerts

Singer Bryan Adams is in the eye of a storm after expressing frustration on Instagram that his concert tour has been cancelled because of “f*cking bat eating, wet market animal selling, virus making greedy bastards.”

Adams turned comments off on his Instagram page, but some took to Twitter to express their outrage.

Wet markets are a suspected origin of the coronavirus, but it has yet to be confirmed.

“Is he a KKK member because the dude sounds pretty racist to me,” wrote one.

“Dude’s music is trash,” tweeted another.

“His next concert,” posted another along with a photo of an empty concert arena.

Many, however, came to Adams defense and amplified his message. Polls have shown that an anti-China message is resonating with many Americans.

“People can call it racist if they like but facts are facts,” said one.

“He’s only saying what the vast majority of people think…,” said another.
