A tearful mother struggled to describe her feelings about the sentences eight Army men received for the hazing death of her son, Pvt Danny Chen.
“These sentences do not give justice to his life; we want the system to change so the punishment would fit the crime,” Su Zhen Chen, Chen’s Mom said in Chinese.
Danny Chen’s father also appeared at the news conference, wearing his son’s camouflage military cap.
