Asian Week: Asian Americans Want Reforms to Prevent Military Hazing

Arny CamaflougeThe light sentences handed down against 8 Army men in the hazing death of Army Private Danny Chen has sparked demands for new reforms to stop military hazing.

“There have been too many cases of military hazing, and we must have reforms that protect those vulnerable to hazing in our armed forces,” Mee Moua, president and executive director of AAJC was quoted as saying by Asian Week

US Senate and House committee members are working on provisions in the annual defense budget bill that would address some of these concerns.
