It’s no secret for Jews in the United States, Christmas can be a time when they feel left out. For many Jewish families, a Christmas trek to a Chinese restaurant has become a tradition only because its about the only business open on Christmas that doesn’t remind them of the Christian holiday.
All that changed for Josh Kurtzig of Washington, D.C. the father of two Jewish Chinese childrenm, when he moved to Beijing. Suddenly Christmas has taken on a new meaning for him and he finds himself embracing many of the traditions he shunned back in the United States.
