A bill passed by both houses of Congress last week paving the way for American citizens to adopt North Korean children is awaiting President Barack Obama’s signature.
Authored by Rep Ed Royce (R-Orange County), the bill would require the US State Department to come up with a plan to ease the adoption of North Korean children by US Citizens.
Many children who become orphaned fall into the hands of human traffickers. Others suffer from malnutrition and poverty.
A backer of the bill told The Telegraph said the bill would “provide loving families for some of the world’s most endangered children.”
