Hundreds of vendors selling Asian American themed products and three food courts drew tens of thousands of people to the Asian American Expo in Pomona east of Los Angeles this weekend.
“I’ve already eaten twice,” said Romulo Moreno of Hacienda Heights told the Mercury News. His family is part of the 100,000 people who were expected this weekend.
Entertainment includes everything from the traditional taiko drumming to the more trendy K-Pop. Martial arts exhibitions add to the fun.
“This is exciting,” Jovita Phan of Temple City said.
“But I’ve been coming since I was a kid,” Sandra Ordonez said.
