The Fung Wah Bus Company which was ordered to shut down due to what regulators labeled an “imminent hazard” has a long history of safety issues, reports Bloomberg.

In 2006, 34 passengers were injured when a Fung Wah bus “probably traveling too fast for the off-ramp” rolled over.  It was fined $31,000 for the accident.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities has logged 159 maintenance violations in the last two years against Fung Wah.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration says 23 safety violations have been related to cracked or broken frames.
