The East San Gabriel Valley Japanese Community Center celebrated the coming of spring with its 13th annual Cherry Blossom Festival in collaboration with the city of West Covina on Saturday, reported Mercury News.
The event featured martial arts, traditional dancing, taiko drumming and food to honor Japanese-American culture and tradition.
The center was built in 1936 and was closed during World War II. It reopened as a non-profit organization in 1951.
