Muslim American, South Asian American and Arab American groups are urging fellow Americans to resist scapegoating any religious or ethnic group in the Boston Marathon bombing, reports Politico.
“Today our thoughts are with the victims of this horrific attack. Our nation’s strength is rooted in our resilience and our ability to come together as Americans to address our greatest challenges,” said Farhana Khera, Muslim Advocates executive director. ”
“We strongly urge all Americans to reject scapegoating groups or targeting innocent Americans based on their racial, ethnic or religious identity.”
Deepa Iyer, South Asian Americans Leading Together executive director, added her voice to the discussion.
