A new ad campaign tapping into Asian American values of family & education hopes to draw more Asian Americans into the Marine Corp., reports the LA Times,
Asian Americans make up just 2.41% of the Corp. Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders just 0.65%.
The Marines are pouring $100 million into a campaign to recruit 38,000 people a year.
Diversity is a big part of the effort with similar campaigns also targeting African Americans and Hispanics.
