Is Matt Lauer still in the line of fire at NBC? According to the International Design Times, the answer is yes.
It’s been well documented that he’s taken much of the blame for the nasty way Ann Curry was thrown off the anchor desk on Today.
Now the New York Times is reporting that NBC has approached CNN anchor Anderson Cooper about his interest in working on Today. Three sources contacted by the Times told the paper Cooper has been approached about the subject.
That’s ironic considering it was widely reported that Ann Curry was in the running to replace Cooper at CNN. Curry is still under contract at NBC and the network appears to have refused to let her out of it.
