NBA hopeful and Filipino American Kris Rosales has been getting his share of workouts with NBA teams, according to ABS CBN.
The six foot tall point guard starred for Hope International University in Fullerton in the Golden State Athletic Conference, leading his team to 24 wins this past season.
So far he’s had try outs for the Los Angeles Clippers, Sacramento Kings, Brooklyn Nets and Toronto Raptors.
“It feels pretty good. Not a lot of Filipinos have the chance to work out with NBA teams or have the opportunity to go to the NBA. So I feel pretty blessed I’m given this opportunity,” said the 22-year-old to ABS CBN.
He’s now preparing for the NBA Development League draft and expects to play in the pro summer basketball league in Los Angeles. If he makes it onto a development team, he’ll just be a step away from the NBA.
