Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg for the first time publicly spoke in favor of immigration reform, reports ABS CBN.
The 29-year old billionaire spoke at the debut screening of Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Jose Antonio Vargas’ new film, Documented, in San Francisco.
“This is something that we believe is really important for the future of our country and for us to do what’s right,” said Zuckerberg.
Zuckerberg denied he is only advocating a pathway to citizenship for high tech workers.
He recently founded the organization Fwd.us which is dedicated to winning citizenship for 11 million undocumented immigrants.
