The Philippine Embassy in Washington is urging Filipino Americans to come to the aid of victims of two recent tragedies, reports the Sun Star.

17 people died when Tropical Storm Maring hit the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, and National Capital Region August 17.
“I wish to call on all Filipino Americans to do what you can to alleviate the suffering of the victims caused by these disasters that took place just hours apart from each other,’ said Ambassador Jose Cuisia Jr.
