The Indian American community held a candlelight vigil to remember a convenience store owner and his clerk who were shot and killed in a robbery in the small Indiana town of Elkhart, reports Mizo News,
People have left flowers and stuffed animals outside the store where Jagtar Bhatti and Pawan Preet Singh were both killed Thursday.
The executive director of North American Punjabi Association (NAPA), said Friday the Sikh community is living under the shadow of fear and insecurity.
28-year-old Kevin Moore has been arrested in the murder. Police say he was a regular customer of the store.
