Lincecum is a free agent at the end of the year and could sign with
the highest bidder. In action tonight against the Los Angeles Dodgers,
Lincecum gave up a run in the 1st, and another in the 2nd as the
Dodgers took a 2-0 lead into the 4th inning.
The Giants and Dodgers have a storied rivalry that was marred last
night when Jonathan Denver,24, was stabbed and killed in an incident
after the game several blocks from the ball park. The Giants observed
a moment of silence before the game. In a written statement, the
Giants said: "While details are still emerging, we want to be clear
that there is absolutely no place in our community for this type of
senseless violence."
One bright note, Lincecum has struck out Los Angeles Dodger star
Yasiel Puig twice tonight.
Lincecum has five strikeouts as of the 5th inning. Score is now tied 2-2.
