A study released today on the spending habits of Asian Americans found AAPIs outspend the average American household in the United States by 19 percent, reports the South China Morning Post.
The report by Neilsen also revealed that Asian American rank number one in spending on line with 77 percent of Asian Americans having made a purchase on the internet in the last year versus 61 percent of all Americans.
Asian Americans also were more likely to shop for a good deal, they put a premium on quality and brand names are important when making a purchase.
“When making big-ticket purchases, Asian Americans are often willing to pay more, spending money where they think it counts the most,” the study said.
