At just 18-years old, Jessica Sanchez accepts that she is a role model and welcomes it.
The American Idol runner-up is currently in the Philippines doing charity work, reports the Inquirer.
She took the opportunity Monday to officially launch her song, Lead Me Home (previous version of story got the song title incorrect), for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.
“I have a lot of eyes watching me, especially now having the Philippines look at me like I’m an inspiration,” she said, still surprised at the warm reception she has been receiving in the country.
“I feel honored actually, more than anything.”
