There aren’t many Asian American comedians on television, but two of the hottest happen to be Indian American–Kunal Nayyar, who plays Raj Koothrappali on The Big Bang Theory and Mindy Kaling of the Mindy Project.

Kunal Nayyar was born in India and came to the United States when he went to the University of Portland in 1999.
He learned the American style of football playing Madden Football and has been hooked since.
Later he would move to Philadelphia to attend graduate school and he would watch every Philadelphia Eagles game from the same seat in the bar across from his apartment.
Today with his stardom in Hollywood he gets to sit with the owners of the Eagles in the owner’s box.
